Come To Life Ministries, being a religious organization, holds the following statement to be true and foundational to its purposes.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 14:16-18; II Corinthians 13:14).
The Bible
We believe the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are verbally inspired of God, are inerrant in their original writings, and are of supreme and final authority in faith and practice. (Psalm 119:160; II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21).
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man. He was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day He was resurrected, later ascended to heaven, and is presently there for believers as High Priest and Advocate. (Matthew 28:1-20; Luke 1:30-35; Luke 24:36- 51; John 10:28-30; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 4:14-15; 5:13-14; 7:23-28).
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all believers to convict, counsel, sanctify, empower and guide them in life and service. (John 14:16-17, 25-26; Romans 8:9-11; Ephesians 4:30).
Man
We believe that man is created in the image of God, that man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature as a result. (Genesis 1:26-28; 2:15-17; 3:6-7, 16-19; Romans 3:10-12, 23; 5:12; 6:23; 7:18; Galatians 3:22).
Salvation
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. Saving belief is more than just a head acknowledgment – it includes repenting of sin and receiving Jesus’ free gift of eternal life by faith, being born again of the Holy Spirit and becoming children of God forever. (Mark 1:15; John 1:12-13; 3:3-7; Romans 5:8-10; Romans 6:23; I Corinthians 15:3, 22; Ephesians 2:8,9; I Timothy 2:5-6; James 2:10, 19; I John 2:1-2).
Marriage
We believe the institution of marriage was originated and established by God. Marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. It is a relationship between a husband and wife – committed to God and each other. (Genesis 1:26-28; 2:18-25; Matthew 19:3-6; Romans 1:18-32; Ephesians 5:21-33).
The Future
We believe that God has always had a plan for creation. (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 33:11). We believe in the personal, bodily, return of our Lord Jesus Christ – soon! (Acts 1:9-11; I Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 22:7,12). We believe in the bodily resurrection of every person who has ever lived – the saved and the lost; the saved to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord forever, and the lost to eternal condemnation and punishment, separated from the Lord forever. (Luke 16:26; John 14:2; I Corinthians 15:50-57; I Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 14:11; 20:11-15; 21:1-8).
